Barry Marlin Bauman, Sr., 75, of Pequea, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at his home in Martic Township. Born Thursday, November 19, 1942 in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Marlin Bauman and Marion (Troop) Montgomery.
A Veteran, Barry proudly served with the U.S. Army. He was a former Communications and Emergency Management Director for Lancaster County and an officer in the PA Fish Commission. He was an avid sailor, motorcycle rider, electronics enthusiast as well as member of the Lancaster Masonic Lodge #43 Free & Accepted Masons.
He is survived by a son, Barry M. Bauman, Jr. and wife, Susan, of Harleysville and a daughter, Lynn M. Bixler, and husband, Brian, of Millersville. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Tyla M. McFail, and husband Robbie, of Pequea and Khrystina N. Bauman, of Willow Grove. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Dakota S. Bachman.
There will be a viewing held on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Millersville Mennonite Church, 437 Manor Avenue (Route 999), Millersville, PA 17551. Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family in the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Smedley-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 29 N.
