Anna L. (Boyers) Raber

Anna Lee (Boyers) Raber, 83, of Mount Joy passed away peacefully in her home on July 25, 2017.  She was born March 15, 1934 in Harrisonburg, VA to the late Howard Boyers and Lottie (Collier) Fristoe.

She was retired from Armstrong Ceiling in Marietta.  She was a member of the former United Presbyterian Church in Marietta and a lifetime member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary in Mt. Joy  and American Legion Women’s Auxiliary in Marietta.  Anna was a volunteer for the Maytown Fire Department and served with the fire police.  She enjoyed reading, doing word puzzles, and dancing the polka.  Anna loved going to the beach and out to eat.  Most importantly she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.     

She is survived by 4 children, Loris Grogan (Gregory), Roxanne Woodward, Richard Raber (Brenda), and Grace Minnich (Steve); 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 5 siblings, Howard and John Boyers, Linda LeHew, and James and Bruce Shifflett.  She was predeceased by 2 children, Annette Wagner and Meryle Raber; 1 grandchild; 2 great-grandchildren; and a brother, George Boyers. 

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11 AM at Smedley-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 29 N. Gay St., Marietta 17547 with Pastor David E. Woolverton officiating.   Family and friends are invited for viewing from 9:30 AM until time of the service.  Burial will take place Monday, July 31st in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia.
