Tyrone “Tom” P. Cutlip, 78 of Maytown, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at home. Born, Thursday, April 27, 1939 in Warrington Twp., York County, he was the son of the late Virgil P. and Edna B. (Stetler) Cutlip Gotwalt. He was married over 15 years to Pierrette M. (Berube) Cutlip.
A US Navy veteran of Vietnam, Tom served for over 21 years. Having retired from the military, he was last employed by Longwood Manor in Maytown. Tom was an avid hunter and was a member of the Susquehanna Beneficial Association, VFW in Mount Joy and various other social clubs. He enjoyed watching Jeopardy! and westerns.
In addition to his wife Pierrette, he is survived by a daughter Heather Cutlip (Benjamin Warren) of El Centro, CA; a granddaughter Audrey Cutlip; a step daughter Tara L. Hickey of Mountville; a step son Phillip T. Stumpf (Laura) of Cleveland, OH; two sisters: Marylee Koerner, Dallastown and Geraldine Emig of Dillsburg, and a sister in law Linda Ritchey of Lewistown.
Tom was predeceased by a brother Duane D. Cutlip.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Smedley-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 29 North Gay, Marietta at 1:00 PM. A short service will begin at 2:00 PM with a gathering for family and friends immediately following at the Pioneer Fire Company, 200 North Waterford Avenue, Marietta, PA 17547. Interment with Military Honors will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
