Eugene Thomas "Tom" Johnston, Jr.

Eugene Thomas “Tom” Johnston, Jr., age 67, of Columbia, formerly of Mountville, died on Tuesday, February 12, 2019. He was the son of the late Eugene T. Johnston, Sr. and Evelyn M. Johnston.                      

He proudly served in the US Army in Germany, 24thGroup Engineers, from 1968-1971, and is retired from the Department of Defense at New Cumberland Army Depot.

He is survived by his daughter, Sara Elizabeth Johnston and granddaughter, Emma Ann; brothers, Michael Johnston and Eric Johnston; sisters, Elizabeth Johnston, Kathleen Johnston and Elissa Eshleman, wife of Scott; one Aunt, Ruth Schaal, cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Smedley-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 29 North Gay Street, Marietta, PA, 17547, 717-426-3614, on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 4:00-6:00 PM. Interment with full military honors at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, at the convenience of the family.
