Dale M. Arnold

Dale M. Arnold, 89, of Lancaster, died Friday, April 14, 2017 at Oak Leaf Manor North, Landisville.  Born June 22, 1927 in Maytown, he was the son of the late Mervin S. and Elizabeth (Lindemuth) Arnold.

A Veteran, Dale proudly served with the U.S. Navy.  He and his brother, Glenn, were the 2nd generation owners of the Arnold Pontiac-Oldsmobile Dealership in Maytown.

He is survived by three daughters: Terrry L. Herr, of Mount Joy; Sharon D. Hess and husband, Herb, of Mount Joy and Bonnie L. Hess and husband, John, of Marietta; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and his significant other of nearly 40 years, Joyce R. Evans, of Lancaster.  Also surviving are two brothers, Merle and Glenn Arnold.

A Celebration of Dale’s Life will be held 11 AM on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 100 West Main Street, Mountville, PA  17554 with Reverend James A. Cavallero officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Private interment will take place in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Smedley-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 29 North Gay Street, Marietta, PA  17547, 717-426-3614.
