Catherine M. “Toot” Yohe

Catherine M. “Toot” (Hiltz) Yohe, 81, of Marietta, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 4, 2017. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Helen (McCall) Hiltz. She will be lovingly missed by her husband of 61 years, William R.“Bump” Yohe. 1-4-3.

Toot loved spending time at the beach and having cookouts in the yard with her family. She was along time bartender and cook for Eckman’s Hotel. She belonged to the American Legion Auxillary unit #466, served in the MYAA for 30 years, and was a past member of the Pioneer Fire Company in Marietta.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children: William E. “Buzz” Yohe (Gloria) of Mt. Joy, Debra A. Hess (Craig), Lori J. Nau (Michael), and Michael A. Yohe (Charlene) all of Marietta; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Elizabeth J. Paris, and grandson Michael O. Yohe.

A Memorial Service will be held at noon on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Smedley-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 29 N. Gay St., Marietta, PA 17547 with The Reverend Stephen P. Kelley officiating. Visitation will be held from 11-noon prior to the service. Burial will be private in Marietta Cemetery.
