Betty A. Risberg

Betty A. Risberg, 86, of Mount Joy, passed peacefully August 19th at Medina Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center, Castroville, Texas. Betty was born in Strasburg, the eldest daughter of  Amos and Robernia Trimble Eckman of  Marietta. She was the wife of Donald L. Risberg Sr. (deceased). Surviving are their five children, Donald L. Jr. (Diane) Risberg, Corona, CA, Douglas (Linda) Risberg, Mount Joy, Duane (Sharon) Risberg, Forest Hill, MD, Deborah (Ted) Herman, Lytle, TX, Darrel (Jill) Risberg, Denver, CO; 14 Grandchildren; 16 Great grandchildren; 3 Greatgreat grandchildren; and 3 sisters.

Betty was a long time member of Kinderhook Evangelical Congregational Church, Columbia. The last few years she attended the United Methodist Church, Lytle, TX. She traveled the world extensively with her husband and children while he was in the military. He retired in 1964, and in 1965 they moved to Mount Joy. The last couple of years she lived in Lytle, TX. Betty was employed and retired from Tyco (AMP) Mount Joy. Betty’s joy was her children, grandchildren, and all the great and great-great grandchildren. She loved to spend time in her flower beds.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Betty’s Life Celebration in a memorial service from Kinderhook E.C. Church, 562 Kinderhook Rd., Columbia, PA 17512 on Saturday, September 23 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Doug Evans officiating. Family will receive friends at the church following the service. Private interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Kinderhook E.C. Church. Smedley-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Marietta in charge of arrangements.
